Let Peace Be Your Guide    Colossians 3:15

The book of Colossians commands us to be aware of the peace we have in our hearts and to let it be our guide in life.  When we have a decision to make, we follow the path that maintains the peace within.  In this way peace “rules” our hearts and guides our lives.

Me A Teacher    Colossians 3:16-17

Paul commands us in Colossians to “Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly.”  This means that the Word of God is to permeate every aspect of life.  We are to be so familiar with the Word that it comes up constantly in our conversation and it is the guide we use for every aspect of life.

Intimacy Issues    James 4:1-3

This week we take a look at the fact that mankind has never been able to get along.  Not on a personal level, community level or national level.  This can be seen in the broken marriages, violence, war and disputes of every kind.  We will explore 3 issues that cause this inability to get along:  amorality - no moral standard; anonymity -  we don’t know who we are or why we exist; and alienation - we desire true intimacy but cannot find it.

You Can't Be Serious    Colossians 3:18

Wives, submit to your husbands.  Not a very popular phrase.  But if the husband is treating his wife as Christ treats the Church, it will be easy for a wife to submit; the husband will only be thinking of what is good for his wife. So husbands, treat your wives as Christ would treat her.
