Are You an Imitator?   1 Thessalonians 1:6-9

Paul reminds us that the primary objective of our lives while on the earth is to become an exact imitation of Christ.

Rapture and the 2nd Coming  

1 Thessalonians 1:9-10, 4:13-18

In this sermon we take a look at the two parts of Jesus’ return to earth:  the rapture and the second coming.  They are two distinct events; the first concerns only believers and the second is for everyone on earth.

Proof of the Truth  1 Thessalonians 2:1

Paul begins to defend himself against the accusations that were being brought against him in Thessalonica.  He was being accused of running out when the going got tough and making up the Gospel message for personal financial gain and prestige.  In today's passage he begins by reminding the Thessalonians that the Gospel message he preached is real and powerful because of the real changes that have occurred in their own lives.  They are proof of the truth.
