We must remember that many of these early Jewish Christians had their property confiscated, lost their jobs and even their inheritance for converting to Christianity. 1/22/2012	Outside the Camp Hebrews 13:10 The Jews are warned about useless teachings such as eating ceremonial foods. The foods have no meaning and no power. Instead, we are to be strengthened by God's grace. We need to be very careful that we do not allow "strange" teachings into our minds or lives. We are to be people of the Book where we find the Words of God and the only Absolute Truth.	Download

Hebrews 13:11-14 The author draws a striking parallel between the sacrifice on teh Day of Atonement and Jesus' death outside the city in a place of shame and disgrace. Communion with God is not found in the prestige and beauty of the Temple but outside the gate at the cross.	Download
